Examples of CNC machining, parametric mechanical design and vision-guided robotics from my engineering studies.

Project 01 · CNC manufacturing

Numerically Controlled Machines

Concordia University · MECH 6611 · Final course project

Developed a machining project using 3D CAD modelling and CAM planning. The report documents part geometry, machining setup and approaches to producing complex features, including prismatic and profile machining.

The report covers a guide bearing component, casting stock, machining setups, cutting tools, speed and feed calculations, and CATIA V5 manufacturing operations.

Project 02 · Parametric design

3D modelling of a twist drill

Concordia University · ENGR 6991/1 · Individual project · CATIA V5

Created a parametric 3D twist drill model using CATIA V5. The project explored a user interface for changing geometric and manufacturing parameters, with controls for preparing meshing and finite element analysis of different drill configurations, including applications involving fibre reinforced plastics.

Project 03 · Vision and robotics

Controlling of a Mobile Robot by Vision System

Concordia University · MECH 6631 · May 2006 · Team project

Coauthored with Mohamad Wassim Sharbek and Md. Ruhul Amin. The report documents a mobile robot using a webcam and color-based vision to identify objects, a virtual waypoint for obstacle avoidance, PID-based steering and three servo motors for motion and gripping. Its software used C, RTX and a vision SDK.

Archival video from the original project, about 9 seconds; source footage is low resolution. The public report omits student ID numbers.
